In this program at the Ovid Library, Seneca County historian Walter Gable will explore the life and legacy of Robert S. Duncanson, a well known and popular African-American landscape painter born in Seneca County, NY in 1821. The Bidens chose to feature Duncanson's 1859 painting Landscape with Rainbow, which belongs to the Smithsonian Institution, in the inaugural ceremonies this past January.

The program will be held outdoors in the event tent at the Ford Memorial Library in Ovid on July 28 at 6 p.m. Reservations are appreciated. Call the library at 607-869-3031 or visit to RSVP.
