In the 1920s and 30s women were hired for the summer to pick fruit at White Springs Farm. After work they took a dip in the large pond on the estate.

The Geneva Hotel was on the corner of Exchange and Lake Streets. It was torn down to build a corner service station, which was eventually torn down for the modern Centennial Park. Here it is seen after a heavy snowfall in the winter of 1925.

This post-World War II night photo was taken from the Methodist Church at the top of Seneca Street. The largest sign was for Schine’s Geneva Theater (now the Smith Opera House); light streams out from buildings on the right-hand side of Seneca Street that were torn down during urban renewal in the 1960s.
