Since 1992 “Wreaths Across America” has coordinated a wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery each December.  It is their mission to spread the message of the importance of remembering our fallen heroes, honoring those who serve, and teaching our children about the sacrifices made by veterans and their families to preserve our freedoms. Every year volunteers lay wreaths on over 100,000 gravestones throughout Arlington Cemetery. First Choice Travel will be taking a group of volunteers from the Geneva area December 11-13, 2015 to participate in the wreath laying. In addition to the wreath laying, participants will have a guided tour of the monuments, will view the National Christmas Tree andhave some time for visiting the Smithsonian Museums. The tour requires moderate walking. The cost is $299 per person double occupancy. A $100 deposit is due with booking. The 3-day trip includes motor coach transportation, tour manager, two nights’ accommodation, two breakfasts, one dinner and a guided monument tour. For information or reservations, contact Kerry Lippincott at 789-5151 or director@genevahistoricalsociety.com.
