A Heartfelt Thank You
By Mel Oles, Visitor Services and Program Manager at Rose Hill Mansion and Johnston House
After another successful Family Day, I would like to take a moment to reflect on the importance of community and thank everyone that was involved in the event. The success of Family Day is deeply intertwined with the relationships built over the years. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our partners who have played a vital role in making Family Day special and meaningful.
The unwavering support has been instrumental in creating opportunities for families to enjoy Rose Hill and create lasting memories. Each partnership represents a shared commitment to fostering a sense of community, understanding, and support that resonates far beyond just fun. I saw families, friends and visitors learning about milking a cow, different livestock, resources in the local community, handmade crafts and more.
Thank you to our partners, vendors and staff – Town of Fayette Historical Society, Deer Haven Park, Ithaca Maple Works, Ward O’Hara Agricultural and Country Living Museum, Geneva Rotary Club, Time Travelers, summer intern Zooey Gastelo, music by Two Peace Band (George and Rika Pendry), Bloomers at Poorman Farms, and Genesee Country Lace Guild.
As planning starts for the next Family Day, we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. With the continued support and collaborations, I hope to grow the event and reach even more families in our local community and beyond. Here’s to many more Family Days in the future!
