COVID 19 Experience In Geneva
From 2020-2021, Historic Geneva staff solicited submissions from Geneva community members in order to document the local COVID-19 pandemic experiences. This resulted in an exhibit that was open from July – September 2021. While the exhibit has closed, we continue to document the historic pandemic and encourage Genevans to share their stories with us.
Here are just a few ways you can tell your story:
- Photographs or videos of unusual scenes or events caused by the pandemic – Empty store shelves or parking lots; social distancing measures; closed businesses; or changes at your place of work.
- Photographs or videos of how your family coped – Kids learning from home; adults working from home; game or activities your family did while in quarantine; photos of family members wearing protective gear like masks; or photos of ways you’ve kept in touch with friends and family.
- Artwork created by you or a family member
- Stories of what your life has been like during the pandemic – Feel free to respond using our form or just tell your story in your own way
- Keep an ongoing journal of your life doing the pandemic
Children are encouraged to participate with the help of their parents or guardians.
