Plants and Agriculture in Geneva’s Past
Over two classroom visits, students participate in hands-on activities to understand what soil is and how it affects plant growth. They learn about how 19th-century farmer John Johnston used tile drainage and manure to promote good plant growth and create a successful farm. Plants and Agriculture focuses on the role that plants and farming have played in Geneva’s past and present. Normally run in late spring.
