How to Add to our Collection
Historic Geneva preserves and shares Geneva’s stories. We, however, need your help to ensure we are telling all of Geneva’s stories. There are several ways to help us.
Contribute To An Upcoming Exhibit
- Community Curator – Display your collection at the Geneva History Museum.
- My Geneva is… Weddings
What We Collect
- Objects made in Geneva and/or by Genevans
- Object used or owned by local residents

Examples of items we are looking for include event programs, flyers, and t-shirts; photos; family records; and stories (oral or written) about living and/or working in Geneva.
Focused Collecting
- Experiences of our Black, Hispanic, Latinx, Syrian, and Jewish communities.
- LGBTQIA+ Community
- Covid-19 Experience in Geneva
- Late 20th century physical materials and early 21st century materials, including born digital materials.
- Town of Geneva – fire companies (such as White Springs, West Lake Road, and North Side); homes and residents; and businesses.
Please contact us before sending material for donation. To discuss a possible donation to our collection, click here to make an appointment or call 315-789-5151.
Due to space limitations, we may not be able to accept your items, particularly if we already have several of the same object or if the object does not have a Geneva connection. We prefer identified photographs of people, as unidentified photos have less research and display value to us.
