$1,000 Reward
Whereas, on the night of the 9th ult., the Eagle Hotel was destroyed by fire; and on the night of the 28th ult., the Cabinet Ware manufactory of T.W. Smith Co was also consumed, together with a number of tenements adjoining and contiguous thereto. And whereas , there is good reason to believe that said conflagrations were the result of incendiarism — the work of some evil-disposed and wicked persons who should be dealt with according to the utmost severity of the law. Therefore
Notice is hereby given, that the Board of Trustees of the village of Geneva, will pay a reward of $1,000 to the person or persons who will apprehend, or who may give information that will lead to the apprehension of the offenders guilty of the Arson in both cases as aforesaid.
Or $500 for either offence.
The reward to be paid on conviction of the offenders.
