Beat me daddy eight to the bar! For all you cookies and hepcats, here’s the dope. For one night only, the digs at Club 86 will be transformed into a 1940s USO Canteen. Chow will be served, with appearances by the Finger Lakes Chorus and Cool Club with the Lipker Sisters. There will be bebop but you don’t have to be a ducky shincracker to enjoy the tunes. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased at the Geneva History Museum. So spivvy in your best 1940s duds or bum a convertible suit and bring your old lady (or old man). It will be a gas! Call 315-789-5151 for more information.
This event is generously sponsored by businesses that have been in town since the 1940s: Geneva Club Beverage, Finger Lakes Times, Finger Lakes Public Radio, Finger Lakes Partners, Geneva Awning & Tent Works, DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, and C.S. Burrall & Son.
Proceeds from the USO Canteen will benefit the Geneva Historical Society and its programs.
