A Short History of Geneva Cemeteries

The final program in the Historic Geneva Fall 2024 Program Series will be "A Short History of Geneva Cemeteries" presented by Historic Geneva staff Becky Chapin, Anne Dealy, and John Marks. The program will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at 5 p.m. at the Geneva Public Library and is free and open to the public.
The presentation will focus primarily on the history of Pulteney Street, Washington Street, Glenwood and St. Patrick's Cemeteries. Learn about the early history of Geneva's burial grounds and how they changed and expanded over the community's history.
Historic Geneva's fall programming is focused on the theme of death and mourning in conjunction with the 2024 Rose Hill exhibit The Good Death: Illness and Death in the 19th Century.
