Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes: Janice Nimura on The Doctors Blackwell

Cover of the book The Doctors Blackwell and headshot of author Janice Nimura.In recognition of the 175th anniversary of Elizabeth Blackwell's graduation from the Geneva Medical College in 1849, the Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes will host an online program with Janice Nimura, author of the book The Doctors Blackwell: How Two Pioneering Sisters Brought Medicine to Women and Women to Medicine. The book was a Finalist for the 2022 Pulitzer Prize in Biography and is an excellent account of the two sisters' pioneering efforts in medicine.

The program will be presented on Zoom only. Registration is required. To register, click here. The necessary login information will be sent to registrants via email 24 hours prior to the program. For any problems with registration or to register by phone, call the Historic Geneva office at 315-789-5151. Registrations must be complete before 5 pm on January 17, the day before the program.The meeting is presented in cooperation with Historic Geneva and is free and open to the public. The Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes' meetings are free, but membership is welcome and encouraged at $10 per year.
