Learn about the materials and processes of printing over six centuries in this program by Seth Gottlieb on March 25 at 2 p.m. at the Geneva History Museum. Presented by The Antiques Club of the Finger Lakes in association with Historic Geneva. The meeting is free and open to club members and the general public. This program will also be presented virtually through Zoom.

Seth Gottlieb will explore the materials and processes used by printers from the 15th through 20th centuries to produce books, including how paper was made, how text and illustrations were printed, and how books were assembled into a final product. He will discuss techniques for identifying different printing processes. Seth Gottlieb is a printing historian and special collections librarian, currently based in Central New York. He invites members of the audience to bring books from their libraries to discuss during the question and answer session.

Anyone who wishes to attend the program virtually through Zoom must register ahead of time. To register, click here. The necessary login information will be sent to registrants via email 24 hours prior to the program. For any problems with registration or to register by phone, call the Historic Geneva office at 315-789-5151. Registrations must be complete before 5 pm on March 24, the day before the program.
