The Geneva Public Library will host an presentation of the Geneva Historical Society program "Music in the Key of Geneva" at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22. John Marks, the Historical Society's Curator of Collections and Exhibits, and Kelly Walker, of Finger Lakes Public Radio and Tintinnabulous, will share a visual and audio history of music in Geneva. A companion to the portable exhibit, Music in the Key of Geneva, the program will cover the many types of music performed in Geneva, both by famous musicians who've come here and by local musicians. Marks and Walker will also discuss their podcast series for Music in the Key of Geneva, and the interviews they have conducted with local musicians during the past year.

While this presentation has been given before, it continues to evolve, and new information has been added. Two exhibit panels for the Music in the Key of Geneva project will be on display on the first floor of the library. For blog posts and podcasts exploring the project, visit the Geneva Historical Society blog and audio collections  web pages.

Music in the Key of Geneva is funded in part by a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts administered by the Museum Association of New York. Podcasts, the zine, and other elements of the exhibit are supported by the New York Council for the Humanities.
