Panel Discussion on Food Justice in Geneva

The second program in the Historic Geneva Spring 2024 Program Series will be a panel discussion on issues of food access in Geneva. Participants from the Center of Concern, the Community Lunch program, Food Justice of Geneva, and Blueprint Geneva will discuss the history and role of their organizations' involvement in expanding access to food in Geneva. We will look at the historic connections between segregation, justice, and equity and the availability of healthy, affordable food. The program will be on Monday, April 15 at 6 p.m. at the Adams Intercultural Center at Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
Participants are encouraged to bring a donation of cereal or a canned good with them to the event. Items will be contributed to the Center of Concern food pantry.
The Spring Program Series is presented in conjunction with the current Historic Geneva exhibit, Lift Every Voice: Geneva's Black Community Since 1966, open at the Museum through April 13.
The spring program series is supported in part by the Samuel B. Williams fund for programs in the Humanities and is free and open to the public.
