Tour of St. Patrick's Cemetery: Recovered Stones
October 23, 2022, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Join Historic Geneva curator John Marks and board member Eric Lewis for a guided tour of select burials in the oldest section of St. Patrick’s Cemetery. They will look particularly at the lives and stories of people whose stones had fallen below the surface and have recently been raised and cleaned. The cemetery is associated with St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church (now part of Our Lady of Peace Parish) and the burials include many Italian and Irish immigrants and their descendants.
The tour takes place rain or shine. St. Patrick’s is located at East North Street. Participants should park on Evans Street and come in at that entrance. The cost is $5 per person and can be paid in advance over the phone or at the Historic Geneva offices. Payment can also be made at the tour with exact change or a check. For more information or to purchase advance tickets call 315-789-5151.
